From Professional Fire Fighters Union of Indiana on Facebook:

Portage Firefighters Local 3151 members rescued a man who had been trapped in his vehicle for six days after he was found by two fishermen. The patient was driving westbound on I-94 when his vehicle left the roadway and went down an embankment. The truck rolled several times and landed upright. It was six days before the accident was discovered by two individuals who were walking the area looking for potential locations to fish.

When Portage Fire Department members arrived on the scene, they administered advanced life support interventions and began to extricate the patient from his vehicle. The extrication took 83 minutes. The patient was transported by air ambulance to a regional hospital. Exceptional job by all Local 3151 members on the scene. Our thoughts and support are with this patient as he continues to receive care.
