This from Mike Summa for #TBT:
For TBT-I took this photo a few years ago in Blue Island. It is an Emergency One 95′ AT. I don’t know the year, specs, nor what happened to this truck. If, anyone knows, please feel free to fill in the blanks.Mike Summa

E-One was a track sponsor and we didn’t use this for on track functions.

Robbins parked this tower ladder inside. They sold it because the aerial needed repairs and they couldn’t fix it.

Martin, I believe they are leased. Same for the ambulances. Same for the pickups used as safety trucks for both NASCAR and other events.

Dennis I recall the old tower being parked in the parking lot across from the firehouse. I’ve been in there before on a coq but don’t remember dimensions.

Tim, Robbins firehouse is big, so it fit just fine. At one time they had 1 tower, and 4 engines in the house.

Harry,
Over time the tower started breaking down and was damaged. The decision was made to sell it then with a new village government and chief took over the Rosemont tower was donated to them.

It wouldn’t fit in the firehouse.

Why would Robbins sell a newer tower to end up with a 1995

Maybe someone will be able to answer this. Was this purchased/leased by the speedway or was it just a “demo?”

This ended up in Robbins, Illinois then was sold to a department in Canada.
