  Lens distortion, the flagpole on the right side of the photo appears to be leaning in the opposite direction.

  No, the phot is crooked. The lamp post is also leaning, and you can tell the ground is not level

  Is it an optical illusion? Or is the light duty Ascendant leaning towards the side the ladder is angled towards?
