The new Truck 1 will be a 2022 Pierce Velocity 105′ Aerial. I assume it will basically be a clone of the current Truck 10, just as a ladder instead of a tower. If that’s the case, it will be a tandem axle rear-mount with a 1500 GPM pump and a 300 gallon tank

What make and model will Naperville Truck 1’s new rig be. What are the specs in terms of the cab and chassis, rear-mount or mid-mount, a pump or not, tandem or single axle.

The E-One is a 2001 and has its share of problems. This truck has seen a lot more work than the E-One. It was delivered in 2006 and worked as one of the busiest (The busiest in some years) companies in the department until 2020. The E-One has been in reserve for quite a few years and was assigned to a less busy company before that.

Mabas 21…
I wonder if there is something majorly wrong with this truck? Maybe more expensive to maintain versus the E-One. Why would you get rid of it rather than an older truck? What year is the E-One?

The ladder on the E-one I believe is oos, but they’re using it as a spare engine right now.

From what I understand, the plan was to get rid of the E-One once T1’s new rig arrives and this was going to be the reserve for T10. I wonder if they’re going to sell the E-One as planned, and then just keep both Spartans as spares.

I’m actually surprised that NFD is getting rid of this over the old e-one reserve tower

Does NFD still have the E-One Tower as reserve?
