I had an opportunity to stop by Wood Dale Station 68. Does anyone have any idea how old the antique engine is?

Drew, yes. That is Eng 4 in the picture, same one as posted here. We never used it in any parades while I was there but we did start it up and run it around a few times just to get the cobwebs out. The 1956 Ford/Darley tanker was still an active rig when I was there and I drove it on a few runs.

IF that’s the one, it certainly looks well maintained and sharp.

I would say somewhere around a 41or 42 Ford.

Very difficult to determine that with just a picture of the door.
