This from Tyler Tobolt:
Here are photos of two brand new Milwaukee trucks for Truck 2 and 9. They are not in service yet, still getting trained on.
Thanks,

Perhaps taking a drive to Appleton to modify it is what PIERCE would suggest?
You are correct and there is a reason why the pump panel and/or connections are on the drivers side not officers side. Not sure if PIERCE is to blame though. Why didn’t they spec it the way the previous orders were?

I see one problem with these trucks, they only have one 5 inch storz connection and it’s on the officers side behind the cubs door. That could present problems when trying to flow water. I think some HEO’s are going to have issues making a connection period! Especially in the older areas of the city. Any thoughts?

I heard something to the effect a few years back that they were thinking of SEAGRAVE. I believe if you are happy with something, stick with it. Otherwise, it’s foolish to stay with it based on brand/builder just because.
Milwaukee must have a great long term deal with PIERCE.

I was in conversation with a Milwaukee city mechanic recently. He made it sound like the mechanics would like to switch to a different brand but the upper management wants to stick with Pierce. He went on to say that most of their Pierces sustain the same issues over and over and they have a large inventory of parts just to keep the rigs in operation.

I almost forgot, the standard Q siren is the most surprising. It’s been decades since MFD had those. I just never understood why just the truck company rigs got the Q electronic or otherwise and the engines got electronic sirens much like police vehicles.

Interesting that they went back to the VELOCITY chassis. The red ladder is a nice touch.
