Harry,
Frankfort is like 20 minutes away. And like CMK420 said, you are confusing.

Harry, I don’t know what you are commenting on from what I said, but I was referring to departments with truck companies within Division 22, which is what I am a part of. Your statement was very confusing.

Tim, I don’t recall ever stating E-One makes the best cab and chassis however they do make a nice spacious cab.

I like the fact that they are small urban style engines that have avoided the trend of making monster squad pumpers with mega wheel bases and sky high hose beds. I also like Mars 888 light on the front. Perfect for their role chasing ems calls, traffic accidents, and of course, fire runs. I would like a raised cab roof over the jump seats, its easier on the backbone.

Mike C. you had said E-One makes the best cab and chassis on the market.
You’re right though. I’ll take Seagrave over E-1 any day.

Seagrave makes the best cab and chassis on the market! Bar none!

Did anyone else see the post on here about Crestwoods new rescue. It had a spec drawing and manufacture info. It was posted after this engine announcement and now it’s gone.

Merrionette Park’s truck was damaged in a backing accident. It is back in service, renumbered as 2604, with the same cab as before. All that was done was repairs related to the rear end damage.

Aidan Hughes, your comment is completely false. It was NOT rear ended by a drunk driver nor is it getting a new cab. Yes it was involved in an accident and has been out for repair but it will be back in service shortly.

MPFD’s ladder truck was rear ended by a drunk driver in June of 2020 and the rear of the truck was significantly damaged. It underwent repairs at the dealership and is expected to go back into service sometime next week or two. It will receive a new Enforcer cab in August since the Dash CF Cab has no AC (air conditioning).

From what I understand, the rear end of the MP truck was heavily damaged several months back; don’t know the reason why. They have been running their 1997 engine (2613) as first due & they have Calumet Park’s backup engine in their station.

What happened to the Merrionette Parks Truck?

Crestwood Fire Department will sell the 2005 Pierce Dash pumper since the frame is corroded. Although it still drives and still remains in service. When the two new engines arrive it will be gone. And yes they have a light duty rescue truck on order.

Those 5 trucks in Division 22 are ALL jump companies with their respective engines.
#16 by Bill on January 9, 2021 - 11:08 PM
Did Crestwood order a mini rescue too?

They are a pretty busy single station department. They ran about 3000 calls last year. They do a lot of mutual aide to Alsip Midlothian Palos Heights Posen and Robbins on still alarms alone.

i have family in midlothian and i go past there many times a year i have seen the older f series they dont have anymore the current e series and the f series ambulances on a few occastions but in the last ten years i have never seen either engine running a call but the truck 3 times in the same day back in november
#19 by Cmk420 on January 8, 2021 - 9:57 PM
Never seems to be in service; most of the time, when their truck is requested somewhere, they send an engine.

What about Blue Islands truck?
#21 by Cmk420 on January 8, 2021 - 8:48 PM
I would agree with Kevin, as I am a part of a department in Mabas 22. With Merrionette Park’s truck being out of service for quite some time, there are only four trucks spread throughout the division–Alsip, Cal Park, Crestwood & Posen.
#22 by MABAS 21 on January 8, 2021 - 8:25 PM
Are they getting rid of their Pierce engine?
#23 by Kevin Griffin on January 8, 2021 - 7:25 PM
That’s a hard no. Mabas 22 relies heavily on Crestwood’s truck.
#24 by harry on January 8, 2021 - 6:56 PM
are they getting rid of the ladder because i hardly ever see them on a call when i am out that way
