Ah yes Mikey….there’s the lime green. First up is Engine 811. Spartan Maxivision with an E-one body. Steering wheel was so big the officer could steer it. 1978 or 79 if memory serves me correctly.
Second up is Tanker 827, 1984 Spartan/Pierce….2500 gallons.
Both rigs powered by Detroit Diesels. They had a white over red E-one Engine 812 with an 8V92. So fast it was dangerous.
When they refurbed the tanker at RPI down in Tipton, Indiana, the cab was enclosed at it was painted white over red. They put “bus” mirrors on it and the guys hated them so they went back to the west coast style.

Homer was never green. You’re thinking of Troy FPD. They are now black over red as well, much to RJ’s chagrin. Lol

Rj Homer was never black over red they were either red or red and white. You are thinking of Lockport.

The white over red really looks good. A nice change from the nauseating proliferation of black over red.
