Early this morning the BCFPD was dispatched to a structure fire on Steeplechase. Fire is under investigation. Crews worked diligently with surrounding towns to mitigate situation.

Chuck, that is hardly uncommon, especially the farther out you go. I grew up in what is now Campton Hills, and our closest hydrant was at Kane Counties DOT which is about a mile away. You have to have a water department to have hydrants, and most of theses areas do not and just run off of wells. It is impossible to have a hydrant everywhere, that’s why they make tenders.
