Skokie has always done the left side mount, and they all have the power lifts. It actually give you a lot of room to access pt. care and space for medics function, and their is usually only 1 medic in back with the pt. during transports.

Center mounted cots are terrible. You cant stairchair in to the rig, and the patients arm has to go on ur lap when starting an IV.
That being said, this is the first time ive seen a power cot mounted to the side. Nice job! The whole ambo looks like it was really thought out!

this should be going to a17 I am thinking because there terra star is the oldest of the terrastars and the 10 ihc is going to remain a reserve till all the terra stars are gone

Still a heck of a lot more room than those old ambulances built on CADILLAC platforms. I’m sure they have reasons for it.

I still can’t fathom how some departments still settle for a side mounted cot. You significantly limit the “work space” available and is far less efficient for patient care.
