  Looks like they go with a split bed of 3 inch supply line and lay duals in from the hydrant when they’re not able to use the 6 inch front intake at the hydrant steamer after leading out the same dual 3 inch supply lines from the fire. Old school and brings back memories. I think Elmhurst may still do this too. Works when you have lots of closely-spaced hydrants.
