In regards to SS71, We received it in early summer of 2016 after FDIC & was in service for about a year before it went back to Smeal/Spartan. Spartan wanted to build us a new engine but management said no. The main issue that couldn’t be solved was computer & electronic. I heard that we were not the only department Smeal had to deal with on this issue. The current Squad 71 is the 2009 Pierce PUC. We might be in the market for a new truck/quint. Truck 72 is 2008 75′ Pierce with 100k miles on it.

How long did Frankfort have SS71 before it was sent back?

What is Frankfort using since SS71 was sent back under the lemon law? Will Frankfort order a aerial at some point? What was the main issue with SS71?

We (Frankfort) won’t be buying SS10, unfortunately we had no luck with our SS71 (Lemon Law) & I worked on both of them.

Why are they selling it? Hard to come by these days and it still works for the most part.
