This from Scott Matthews:
After 21 years of service, Monday Engine 52 (a 1996 Pierce) was decommissioned after finding out recently her pump gave out. Chief Kelly wanted me to post some final pictures as many current and former members have fond memories of her as Engine 531 & Engine 52.
thanks Dennis

Hello everyone. This rig was originally front line at station 3 before the 2009 Pierce arrived. It was moved to station 2 at the end of 2012 and the numbering was changed to engine 52 when our dispatch changed the numbering system a few years back. We currently have a new rescue engine on order through Ferrara Fire Apparatus that will be delivered sometime late next spring. When it arrives it will run out of station 51 on Briggs st and the 2009 Pierce will be moved to station 52. We were hoping to get one more year out of her but unfortunately that wasn’t the case. For now we are running short an engine until the new one arrives. The 09 Pierce is running out of station 51 and the 04 Smeal ladder truck is running out of station 52. Both pictures are a bit old. She currently has the light bar with the white in the middle. The strobes on the back were changed to rotators a few years back when the strobes went out. They are still not sure what they are going to do with her. It will either be sold or scrapped in the near future.

I am guessing this was initially frontline at station 3. It must have been moved to station 2 when the 2009 Pierce was placed in service? Will this engine be replaced?

Certainly looks good yet for 21 years old.
Perhaps some other dept. will convert it to a squad or some such thing.
