I’ll capitalize on my previous comment in that if the motor or other component craps out, they don’t have to drag out a big ladder or platform to fix it since the equipment would be at about ground level. Plus, it would be much easier in that event to push it open after disengaging it rather than lifting it and who’s tall enough for that?

Besides aesthetics, bi-fold doors open much faster, around 7 seconds, compared to traditional roll-up doors which are around 14-21 seconds. They are tornado/hurricane wind resistant.

Perhaps nostalgia. Or, there is no danger of a door crashing down on anyone’s head.

Very Nice looking station. Is there any benefit to going with the accordian doors?
