This from Steve Redick:
Washington and Sacramento yesterday. I arrived just as the fire went through the roof and operations were going defensive. This was an historic building that was under rehab. I think the best shot is of the snorkel postioned in a tight spot for an effective operation.
Happy new year!

6-3-9 was established about 2-3 years ago, shortly after, at an extra alarm, 2-1-5 Fishlips had to give a lowly Tower Ladder Lt a battery from his auxillary radio because the command van didn’t have any spare officer’s-radio batteries. Needless to say, for every action, there comes a reaction.

What does a mobile battery unit do?

I would assume it carries extra batteries for the power tools and has chargers inside the truck to charge them. Similar to how Air units exchange and refill SCBA Bottles
