From the New Lenox FPD Facebook page:
Two New Lenox Fire Protection District (NLFPD) staff vehicles were extensively damaged on Sunday afternoon after a pickup truck came off of Route 30 onto district property and crashed into them.
The two vehicles damaged were the 2002 Chevy Suburban and 2006 Ford Expedition which were primarily used by the Fire and Life Safety Division.
The incident happened just after 1 p.m. at NLFPD, Station 1, located at 261 E. Maple Street. One person was transported from the scene to an area hospital. No firefighters were hurt.
“We are very thankful no one was seriously injured in this crash,” said Chief Steve Engledow. “Vehicles can be replaced.”
There is no significant damage to the building, however, there is some damage to landscaping and exterior lighting.
The cause of the incident is still under investigation.

How fast was that truck going to cause that much damage? The Suburban is obviously totaled and the Ford at it’s age will probably be totaled as well.
