This from Erik Hajkowicz:
You posted in production photos of a University Park aerial. It’s actually the second engine that’s coming. It’s expected to be completed in January.
The first engine was delivered on 10/28. Here’s a couple pictures. It still needs a Federal Signal lighting package, graphics removed and added, and radios installed. It’s expected to be in-service as Engine 78 in about a month.

I’ve been reading this blog for at least a year and the question I have is where are the fire departments getting the money to pay for the new equipment, especially Chicago, which claims to be broken.
Just curious.

The second engine is almost identical. It will have a 1″ booster reel in the rear compartment that this engine does not have. The plan is to match truck to the new engines.

Nice traditional looking engine. Erik, is the 2nd new engine in production going to be identical to this one? Also will Tower 85 be re-striped to match both of these?

Very sharp E-ONE. Clean and uncluttered.
