Chicago Fire Department Level 1 Haz-Mat car vs semi with saddle tank diesel leak – Firefighters responded to West 103rd Street for a truck leaking diesel fuel in the sewers. Temps were 115 with the heat index.

That is called a Pro Pak from Task Force Tips. It is used for emulsifier and foam application. MABAS purchased one for each MABAS hazardous materials team.

Several companies make reducers that have a garden hose attachment. Usually 1-1/2 or 1-3/4 to the garden hose size.

That nozzle and hose is part of Task Force Tips portable foam system, the Pro Pak. In the one picture you can see the one firefighter holding a small yellow container in his left hand, that is were the foam concentrate is held. Here is the link about it.

Those shots are interesting. Does anyone reading this know about that unique nozzle that the fire fighter was using as well as that red hose? The nozzle looks like some kind of a foam nozzle to me. That red hose looks to be the size of garden hose. Is that hose actually hooked up to an engine or is there some kind of a reducer attachment so that an inch and 3/4’s hose can feed into it?
