They’re all (this unit and an assortment of ESU/SWAT vehicles) are stored at NIPSTA, in Glenview. They’re kept in the large building that also is used as a CPAT course.

In 1989, the Emergency Services Team acquired a fully equipped mobile command post, and in 2001, the team acquired an armored rescue vehicle. In 2006, the Emergency Services Team purchased a new fully equipped mobile command post, and in 2010, the team acquired an equipment transport truck. A NIPAS member agency maintains each of these vehicles and equipment.

That’s understandable. Just guessing that you just never know what’s behind the doors of fire station or police station garages. “If you know fine, but don’t tell the rest of the world.

NIPAS would prefer that the location where its assets are stored not be publicized.

Wow, a police vehicle with a Federal Q2B! Definitely an impressive looking rig. Does anyone know where it’s kept at?

A most impressive unit.
I wonder how many of these are around the region and where they are stationed. Would love to see more mobile command posts like this.
