This from Muke Summa:
Hello,I have a picture of an 800 series American La France pumper from Calumet Park. I remember my parents taking me to a carnival in Cal Park where this truck and a shiny new Cadillac ambulance were sitting. The carnival was a fundraiser for these two emergency vehicles. Wasn’t sure how this how things were done, back then? If anyone knows the specs on this, please feel free to add.Thank you,Mike S.

The old saying is to expect the unexpected.
The ALF 800 is a rare apparatus that had a very short production life. To see one in person is very rare these days even though many understandably mistake them for the 700 series.(Pump panel on the 800 is on the driver side where the 700 for whatever reason was on the officer side). I don’t really know why the 800 only lasted about 2 years though since it seemed to be a transitional model.
