Gary Fire Department history

The Gary Fire Department operated this 1909 Seagrave Serial # 3759. It was originally purchased for the police department as a paddy wagon. It was converted into a chemical engine and assigned to Engine Company 5 when Station 5 in Glen Park was opened in 1915.

The Gary Fire Department operated this 1947 American LaFrance Series 700 pumper with a 1,250-GPM pump and a 150-gallon tank. It carried ALF serial #9063. It was assigned to Engine Company 2 and  Engine Company 5.

Hazel Crest Fire Department history

This from Wayne Stuart for #TBT:

I dug into my archives and found another photo of the 1958 Seagrave that Mike Summa submitted.The photo was taken in 1978 when it was in service as Hazel Crest  Engine 23, and painted lime green. It had a 750 pump and a 300 Gal. tank. Thanks for sharing Mike.
