I had my first pics posted on here yesterday and it’s great to see that. But as others have said, the admin. doesn’t do this full time so if we submit pictures and they don’t get posted, don’t get upset. He does this for the same reason we do and that is because he love fire apparatus. I wasn’t sure how to go about doing it but he was kind enough to give me some pointers and it worked. Look at it this way in that if your photo’s don’t make it on here, you can still look at them in your own file anytime you want since they are yours after all.

Kevin, Like EVERYONE has said this is NOT a fulltime job. So if your photo’s don’t make it on the news feed don’t take offense. Sometimes some photo’s submitted(not meaning just yours) are not the quality the webmaster is looking for. I have submitted photo’s and some don’t make it. Oh well just keep taking pictures and having fun. Nobody is entitled to have their photo’s posted.

That’s true, but people send in information all the time and they aren’t posted. Its not fair to the people who do go out of their way to take picture for the site and never make it on here

apologies to those who have not seen their photos added tot he site – time is of course the major factor limiting the updates – the site is undergoing a redesign to simplify adding images which is a very tedious process based on the original design – all photos that have been submitted reside in folders for inclusion in the updated version which, sadly, is on the horizon most likely for the fall due to the tremendous amount of work there is to redo each and every fire station and department.
chicagoareafire.com/beta will allow a glimpse into the new site … all links are not functioning yet and only a few CFD and suburban houses are there. Refinements and tweaks are in the process, but comments are welcome. Be sure to investigate the MORE PHOTOS link which will include all the images that people have submitted for that department
thanks for your patience and understanding 🙂

The site can only updated when the information is passed along. Remember this is not someones full time job

Right now on the Division 10 section Hinsdale still has the two old engines that were sold and the new 2014 engine is not on that section of the site. I thought the site was updated, maybe I am wrong.

1011 was sold

They used to house 3 engines, 1011 being the other I believe.
Was that discarded/sold as surplus? Or, put in reserve status?
