Yes Erik and Drew Truck 31 was located at the station until March 9th 1970. The fire station was really known for being the quarters of both Water Tower 3 and High Pressure Wagon 3. Squad 8 wasn’t relocated there until a few months after High Pressure Wagon 3 was taken out of service in 1963.
For a more detailed history , including the dates that most of the Fire Suppression companies were located at the Station use the second link at the top of the page on the history of the station date 12/10/14.

My dad started his career in this house. I remember spending a shift there with him back in the 70s. I have memories of a very cool spiral staircase. It’s sad to see it on fire.

Great food and a wonderful restoration of the quarters. Hopefully it will reopen in all it’s splendor.

Few things, it never went to a 3-11, Main mistakenly repeated 3-11 but the alarm level only reached a deuce. Also, early reports state that roofers started this fire and there was in fact roofing equipment on the roof as seen by the aerial coverage of this incident. Finally, 4-9-2 and 4-9-3 were disbanded and merged with OFI. Erik, I believe you are right about Truck 31 and Squad 8.

I hope the firehouse (restaurant) can and will be repaired soon.
Can anyone tell me what happened to the Photo. and Video units, 4-9-2 and 4-9-3? I have not heard them responding or seen them listed as responding to an incident, nor listed in any apparatus rosters for a while now. Thanks.

I think Truck 31 and Squad 8 also called this house home. Does anyone have a history of this firehouse and it’s companies?
