This from Eric Haak:
Shortly before 9:00 on Saturday (10/25) morning, Tower Ladder 14 was coming down Chicago and radioed that they had smoke in the area and asked if anyone had reported a fire. They stated that it looked like it could be an auto or a garage fire and that they were trying to track it down. They quickly came back to report that they had a building fire on Karlov. I arrived just after first companies. Turned out they had a pretty good worker in the rear of an occupied 2-flat. The residents were not home at the time.

Thanks for asking John. My site is a work in progress and I am a few fires behind right now. This fire will hopefully be posted in a few days. All other incidents can be viewed at http://wcfs.smugmug.com/. Thanks again.

Hey Eric, great pics as always…do you have a website where you post all of your pics from the fires you take in? Thanks

Thanks as always Bill. I was strategically very close, although it doesn’t always work out that way. There is no doubt that the 13th has been the place to be over the past few weeks. It is always a pretty good place to be but especially busy recently. I put a lot of time in trying to be there as early as possible. Unfortunately it isn’t always that easy. For all the time I have but into it, I have missed a lot more than I have hit.

Those are great shots Eric. I like those shots of Engine 117 and Tower Ladder 14’s cab. You really must of been pretty close the scene yourself to be able to get those great shots.
Even though Chicago doesn’t have as many fire’s as they used to have, it certainly looks like the 13th Battalion (where the fire was) is still a good place to catch some action.
