This from Dan Russell:
We heard North Palos has a new Chevy Tahoe car 808, and a new Osage Chevy Ambulance 822.
This from Eric Haak:
I took in a fire on the 800 block of west 51st Place in Chicago Saturday afternoon. It was a small one-room fire that was mostly out when I got there, but I did get this interesting photo of a kitten being returned to its owner. The kitten appeared to have been in the fire room as it looked to have been burned slightly on the nose and around the mouth. It was definitely a little groggy but the owner was very happy to have it “rescued”.

If that’s what he wanted, more power to him. My only concern is that someone did not sell it to him as a duplicate of the old CFD helmet shields.

Ever considered that’s what the firefighter ordered? Ever consider that whatever he wants on his lid is HIS choice, not yours?

Whomever is making the throw back shields should get the details right. Engine should be stenciled in white over black and where it says Chicago should be member’s badge number. The stencilled 49 looks more like an old San Francisco FD helmet than Chicago. I’m sure they charged him enough for it.
I’ll admit it looks cool, but why not make it perfect?

Eric, great shot. I was at E49 a weeks ago. A very friendly house.

Does that count as 1 out of 9 lives gone?
