E-264…..the original E-One tower ladder assigned to Tower 5 back in the 80’s.

Bob,
D-535 was originally at Engine 68, then Engine 86.
My notes say D-540 was at Engine 15, but that could be wrong.
D-545 was originally assigned to Engine 46, then Engine 34, and finally ended up at Engine 49.
E-279, the last Seagrave purchased, spent its time at Truck 59. It had a new aerial ladder installed at the factory in 1997 or 1998 after tipping over during a drill in June 1997.

I believe D545 is xE49; D540 is xE75; E279 is xT59. Could be mistaken but thats what I got.

Does anyone have a list or know the former assignments of the current CFD Spare Engines and Trucks, ex: D535, D540, D545, E279 etc. I know theres many more then that but thats all I can think of off the top of my head. As I looked at the recent photo galleries, I was wondering where these companies were formorly assigned before they became a spare. Thanks

My apologies Bill, you are completely correct. I had that written down but didn’t type it in properly. Thanks

Truck 13 was given the RIT assignment. It was initially given to Tower Ladder 10 but they told them to disregard and they gave it to Truck 13.

I believe that Engine 35 was also there and possibly Engine 30. Engine 56 was originally at the shops (Fleet Management so they may have gone later because when they initially went in service they may have been sent to Engine 55 by the office and they may have gone another run before going to the fire.
