Munster joined MABAS Div 24 years ago after they had a large fire on Ridge Road and the Div 24 (at the time the 3rd district) showed how they could get lots of help in a hurry through their system. Since that time others in Indiana have now come on board with a division but Munster has stayed with Div 24.

So, why is Munster the only Indiana fire department assigned to a Chicago area Illinois MABAS division? Does it also mean that Hammond and Gary are not on the MABAS cards for Munster?
Thank you in advance for any responses.
