While on a visit to the Door County Maritime Museum, Drew Smith found a photo hanging on the wall depicting the Victor Schlaeger and the Joseph Medill side by side in dry dock. Drew took photos of the photo … and submitted them for all to see. While he was there, he met an older gentleman that worked on building both of the boats.

Docked next to the museum is the retired Chicago Fireboat Fred A. Busse on which you can take a water tour. Have done this a few times, they have several old pictures of the CFD, incuding the old Engine 17 which my grandfather serves before it closed…

“Door County Maritime Museum” is a good museum. I visited this historical place once and gain instructive knowledge from there. All of the photos they are collecting are really amazing to watch for. You have taken some great shots of those photos. I appreciate you for sharing these pictures. Thanks 🙂
