Did the Bristol-Kendal FPD receive 2 new engines? On Brindlee Mountain’s fire truck sales site are their twin 2007 Seagrave engines, 121 & 122, for sale.

If the new Carol Stream medic is stationed at station 1, why wasn’t it numberd medic 210? Are they re-numbering their rigs again?

Interesting….Beecher and Markham are both in the process of purchasing Pierce engines as well. Beecher with a monster rescue-pumper similar to the Plainfield 1926.

Pleasantview did the same thing with their reserve engine 1551.

So Bensenville buys a new rig and won’t use it as a front-line rig? That is a new concept and seems a little odd.

Yes, there are slots to be able to change the vehicle number. It is permanently marked 87 but can be changed to 89 or 88 when it will be used frontline out of station 1 or station 2. This engine will be rotated in to extend the service life of 88 and 89.

I too see the number change… but it looks like the side numbers on the doors are a panel that can be changed? Is that the case?

Someone changed their mind on the Bensenville engine. The Toyne had it’s number changed to 88 and the rig pic is 87.

Kind of interesting how similar in painting and striping those two are….without any lettering you’d bet they were bound for the same FD!
