The Long Grove FPD and surrounding fire departments were dispatched just after 2AM this morning for a house fire at 21605 N Tiffany Court in Kildeer. Heavy black smoke was seen pumping out of a large, two-story home and the alarm was upgraded to a MABAS Box Alarm which was followed immediately by a 2nd Alarm. Within minutes the house was fully engulfed by fire with flames reaching over 60 feet into the air.
The house was located in a remote subdivision with no hydrants. The alarm was elevated to a 3rd alarm plus an additional 5th alarm for tenders which came from Cook, Lake, McHenry, and Kenosha counties.
Water supply operations included four porta-tanks and dozens of tenders shuttling water from two fill sites. Engines from Lake Zurich and Lake Bluff were drafting and suppling a quint from Buffalo Grove, a quint from Barrington, and lines from Long Grove Squad 55.

That third Picture is one of the coolest fire ground photos iv seen in a long time. Literally looks like something out of a horror movie. Amazing pictures Mr. Shapiro

Does Long Grove / Kildeer require Sprinkler systems in new construction or retro fitting in older homes and structures ?

Thank goodness there were no hydrants up there to block their pristine property views. Now they’ll have a smoldering foundation to look at though.

It seems they didn’t use the firepond there in Tall Oaks of Kildeer?
