This from Mike Summa for #TBT:
For tbt-I took this picture at a parade in Beecher in the early 1990’s. I know this is a 1950’s open cab Seagrave, and that is it. Feel free to ad any information you know.Mike Summa

I understand that this rig was actually in service in Hazel Crest originally. I also think this rig still exists.
NOT TRUE AT ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hazel Crest had an open cab and closed cab, 1 yr apart, engine 23 open, Engine 21 closed, E23 was pained lime Green in 1974 to match their new Segrave Engine 24 and Ambulance, Rescue 26. No more rumors 🙂

Hazel Crest had an open cab, but it was lime green when I knew it. Midlothian had at least I open cab engine, and had an open cab aerial.

I do believe Hazel Crest had two of these engines during the 1950s-1960s years

Holy gee wiz that is a nice surprise even by throwback Thursday standards!
That is one rig that in a perfect world that SEAGRAVE would still build. At least the same concept anyway with all of the modern components but same style.
