For #TBT-Here was the Orland FPD Truck 6004, a 1987 Spartan/Darley 1500/0/55′. Photo taken in June 1987 at the Orland Days Parade. Must have been just delivered because truck is not yet been lettered. Enjoy and comment.Mike Summa

After a recent discussion with the firefighters from Lisbon Seward, Co. 2, the snorkel is still owned by their chief. After it was purchased by their chief, it was offered to the fire district as a 100% donation, with all compartments filled with tools and equipment, which were donated by multiple surrounding departments also including offers of paying insurance and maintenance costs. The trustees at the meeting in August 2017 disrespected the attending firefighters and the residents that attended and supported the donation and voted no. Since that day the department has never been the same. My husband and I are big supporters of the department, we have relied on the volunteers to protect our community and do not want the department to fade away. PLEASE COMMENT AND SHOW YOUR SUPPORT FOR THE LISBON SEWARD VOLUNTEERS!

Crabby,
I believe it may have been recently sold. The middle pic is after receiving a light refurb. At one point of time Orland’s fleet was mostly Spartan based. In addition to the Snorkel (6004), they had a Spartan/LTI 100′ platform (6014) and 4 Spartan/Darley engines (6053,6063,6073 & 6003).

Looks great and is it still around?
Hard to believe that the sedan cab has been the standard for over 30 years now.
