The tower has been sold to a private oil company who is opening a plant in a small town near Las Vegas. The company will provide both fire protection for the plant and the town. A used 2004 E-One pumper, a used 75′ quint( That has been in service at a Indian reservation for the past 5 years and has been sitting outside) and a SUV is the replacement vehicles. The current engine will become a spare.

Who is building the new quint and engine?

I guess then that Cal Parks old ALF engines are long gone. Their only backup is a 1937 Diamond T parade piece.

I think this tower was purchased with a grant to replace a very old mid-mount that had been rechassised with HME. They only have one engine and I think two ambulances. It’s possible they didn’t want to sell it but it was their only option to get a newer more reliable engine as the current one is around 20 years old.

Are the powers that be in Calumet Park pulling a Chicago Ridge? If Brindlee Mountain is selling this truck does that mean its replacement is an Emergency One product? I’m just asking, I am not in the fire service and do not know the ins and outs of these things. Thanks
