Anybody knows what kinda coat is wearing the guy in the middle of the 3rd photo – is this an uniform or protective gear?

Great argument Dennis. I’m not hating on anyone. If someone chooses not to wear an SCBA, that is their choice. When you have to resort to name calling, you’ve already lost the argument.

I love seeing the excuses why they don’t wear air packs. They don’t want to is the reason. Plain and simple.

CFD uses the smaller air packs which give about 15 min of air. A lot of guys don’t want to use them unless they really need it in case they have an emergency and will really need that limited supply.

I seen a guy I went to EMT class with, hugging a woman on the news. I hope that wasnt his house

they would be wearing them if they needed them….just saying!

Sebastian, in this fire there was no interior attack no need for air packs. The building had collapsed when it exploded. Otherwise only the roof team is the only ones who do not wear air packs(they are outside).

Never understood why the city guys never like wearing their air packs?
