This from Martin Nowak:
Went to the Chicago Auto show ant took some pictures of interesting cars and trucks, plus the ones we already saw. The new 2015 Chevy Tahoe looks awesome. As for the Illinois State Police car, I was told that there are a few of them out there to “test” the car out.

I agree with you Dan. Its a shame departments dropped their designs for that.

Ahhh, “Police Interceptor”…who will replace the interceptor with their village name? (Sorry, too many towns who had pretty unique paint schemes seem to be giving them up for this)

Bill C. They also did a test car for the Chevys.

I come down for the auto show every year and it’s always great. I like the TAURUS police and civilian version. I’m still a bit mad at FORD for discontinuing the CROWN VICTORIA/GRAND MARQUIS. I love my ’04 GRAND MARQUIS since the day I bought it in ’04 and I’ll never be able to buy another brand new one again :(.
But I guess if the TAURUS is police car tested and police car approved, it’s good enough for me too. I always hope that CFD or other area dept. could put one of their rigs on display but hey, what was there was fine too.

I thought the “TEST ” cars were the Chevy Caprice Pursuit package.

I like the simple, throwback type decals on the new state cop cars.

Actually Josh. They had a test car. Since the toll way enjoyed them, they are purchasing more. My cousin is in District 15. He posted about it on one of the police blogs.

Those ISP cars aren’t “test cars”, they are replacing the District 15 crown vics. The Tollway is purchasing the Ford Taurus’. They are not purchased by the state.
