LTFPD is proposing the construction of a new Public Safety Training & Maintenance Facility. This facility aims to provide high-level, realistic training for both fire and police departments, enhancing their ability to respond to various emergencies.

 

Key features include: All-Hazards Training: The facility will support training for structural firefighting, hazardous materials response, technical rescue operations, water rescue emergencies, auto extrication, search and rescue operations, emergency medical incidents, and cause and origin investigations.

 

Location: The proposed facility will be centrally located on the Stateville Property in Crest Hill.

Benefits: It will improve response times, provide space for emergency vehicle maintenance, and aim to become self-sustaining in the future.

Community Impact: The facility will enhance the safety and preparedness of emergency responders, benefiting the entire community.
