It’s a sad day for our fire department. Truck 2014, our 2002 Seagrave ladder truck which has served our residents and businesses proudly since 2002 is leaving and heading to Louisville. The ladder truck was decommissioned last year due to frame issues and has been out of service since last June. The Louisville FD will be removing the ladder and placing it on one of their out-of-service rigs to be used again. We are happy its going to a new home and be useful. On a positive note, our new ladder truck is in production now and hopefully it will be completed in July. It will look different and will probably be placed in service in the fall once training is completed by our firefighters. It will then proudly serve our village just like Truck 2014.
