GA Firefighter – not familiar with Barrington area of Illinois but in Iowa people build these houses in rural areas outside city limits with no municipal water supply. My district of seventy square miles is totally dependent on water shuttles and some of our mutual aid companies do come 30+ miles. This incident is not the first I have seen on this site with that many tankers and it shows how well MABAS works.

There ought to be a law against posting so much eye candy like that. 🙂

Not being from the area, is it common to have these large homes without a water supply close by? We couldn’t get 20+ tankers without 30+ mile runs for some! While we have non-hydrant areas, the city requires water for subdivisons large or small.

I know there were some trucks/towers on the box, any idea why they didn’t seem to be utilized?

I believe Lake Villa sent brush 244 not 241. When they cleared I heard them say 244

Lots of good pictures by Tyler and all of the other photographers that were on scene. Thank you all for posting them. In the comments by Tyler, the is a minor error. Cary Chief 203 is listed as being on scene, but it was actually Cary Assistant Chief 204. Thanks Again!
