Different rig NJ. That rig started off as a 1952 ALF mid mount truck then rehabed by Pierce and later the ladder and body was taken off and the beer truck body was put on..Its quite the mishmosh of parts..

If that is the same squad, it has been completely redone from the cab back. They look like completely different rigs.

The first thought that came to my mind was that it looks like a transport vehicle for horses or other animals. But I like the idea of a motorhome a whole lot more. That would be awesome! I would not change much, if anything, on the outside if I converted it to an RV. A repaint of black over red cab and 2nd rear axle would make it even better though.

Peotone currently has the former Braidwood, IL Pierce Arrow squad. It is designated as Squad 6907 of the Southwest Hazmat Team and is relettered with upgraded LED warning lights.

Wonder if they got a new unit

Really nice picture. Looks like someone could convert it to a motorhome or some PD or FD use it for a command post or just a PR vehicle.

Interesting piece.
Was it originally delivered like this? Just looking at it, it seems like it should have a second rear axle.
