New utility unit for the Orland FPD

Orland FPD put their new utility in service in July/August and it has been catching calls left and right. Utility 1 is a 2024 Ford F-350.

  The A-1 situation started due to a railroad crossing closure on 153 st for extended time. It may evolve into a full staffing in the future.

  MABAS 21, the old ford utility is having the box removed and is going to have a flatbed put on it to be a traditional utility/runaround truck.

  Mike, Utility 1 is still fairly busy because it replaces a fire apparatus (usually T1) on medical emergencies rather than the ambulance. I heard Ambulance 1 is being staffed again, however I hadn’t heard it was only during peak hours.

  The Body was taken off the old Utility 1 and will be remounted on a new chassis and go back as utility 1 and this will be reassigned

  Orland is also staffing a 6th ambulance now during peak hours. The utility may not be going on as many runs as it was before. The staffing is probably manning ambulance 6 now

  What is Orland doing with the previous Utility 1 (aka Squad 2, 7)?
