Okay let me do some clarification since it seems everybody is having trouble figuring out what’s going on. Engine 12 and 13 are swapping rigs right before 11 opens. Engine 12 will get the rescue engine and Engine 13 will have the quantum. When this happens Engine 13 will become Engine 11. Engine 12 will have the rescue engine and Engine 11 will have the quantum. Tower 13 will be the main unit out of 13. Squad 13 (the hazmat squad) was housed at Station 14 but moved back to 13 a few months ago. When Engine 13 becomes 11, Squad 13 will be in the bay that Engine 13 originally had. When Mount Prospect got the township station, they staffed Ambulance 11 out of 12 temporarily. Ambulance 11 I’m pretty sure will be running the F-450 they had when they were still in the township FD since that is what they were running with at 12. The Township Engine 11 and reserve engine are being sold and the spare ambulance is being donated to Harper College. Now with the spare fleet, They have 1 spare engine and its Engine 12’s former 2015 Quantum. They have two spare ambulances one being the 2017 Freightliner labeled “RA12” at 12 and an older F-450 at Station 14. Mount Prospect also got the tanker which will be housed at Station 11. Tanker 11 is due on all car fires on I-90 that are in their district. Wagon 12 which is the foam / hose tanker will also be moved to Station 11 and will become Wagon 11. Hope that helped.

Cmk420,
Yes, they have a reserve ambulance at 14. Ambulance 14R
MP runs with E12 (Pierce Quantum), E13 (now E11) (Pierce Dash CF) and Engine 14 (Pierce Dash CF).. from my understanding they should have 1 if not 2 Pierce quantum’s as spares

So,”dumb” question–If Ambulance 12R is becoming Ambulance 11, does Mt. Prospect still have a reserve Ambulance somewhere else?

My apologies, I thought squad 13 was still the rescue pumper. I must not have seen that its engine 13 now that they have the heavy rescue. And now with station 11 opening engine 13 is now engine 11. So MP doesn’t have the rescue pumper anymore?

Hopefully in the near future MTPR is able to hire additional personnel to staff a 4th engine. With EGT disbanded, the area is short an engine company that I’m sure the surrounding departments depended on for auto aid. Now MTPR is doing more with no additional staffed companies and a larger response area.

Engine 13 – 2018 Pierce Dash CF PUC) will be Engine 11
Ambulance 12R – 2017 Freightliner/Horton will be Ambulance 11
Squad 13 is out of Station 14 and is only staffed by POC employees.
When I was there last year, the current reserve engine was a 2005 Pierce Quantum

Current rigs at Station 13 are TWR13, A13, and E13. The squad is only staffed when needed. Simply moving the engine from 13 to 11.

I believe the current engine 13 is a 2018 Pierce Dash CF. I believe their current reserve engine is a 2015 or 16. Another possibility is they put the older Quantum as engine 11 and the 18 Dash CF is now reserve.

Ok it looks like the tower will be the frontline suppression company out of Station 13. Will the current Engine 13 become the new Engine 11? I am guessing the squad will become a jump company with the tower ladder. Good thing they have a new tower ladder on order. I am sure the current Tower 13 has over 100K miles on it.

So from reading this it looks like engine 11’s manpower came from squad 13.
