#chicagoareafire.com; #LovesParkFD; #PhilFoley;We are deeply saddened to hear of the passing of former Fire Chief Phil Foley. Chief Foley dedicated over 50 years of his life to the Loves Park Fire Department. He joined in 1965, serving as part-time chief in 1981 before being appointed as the full-time chief in 1999. Chief Foley’s service continued until August 2018.
 
His commitment to our community was unwavering, and his legacy of serving and protecting will forever be remembered. 
 
We extend our heartfelt gratitude for his service, and our thoughts are with Chief Foley’s family and loved ones during this difficult time. Rest in Peace, Chief Foley. 

A visitation is planned for 5 p.m. – 8 p.m. Sunday, June 2, at Sunset Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens, 8800 North Alpine Road in Machesney Park.

The visitation will continue 9 a.m. – 10 a.m. Monday, June 3, at the funeral home, with a funeral service to immediately follow.
