Harry, thats because US Fire pre ordered somewhere around 100 chassis. Ranging from 2 door and 4 door commercial chassis to custom cabs. All they have to do is build the body and put a pump on it. Yonkers had a relationship with Ferrara. So its no surprise they went to US Fire. Same owner.

Sadly a 4 year wait on rigs is the nature of the business right now. Pierce, Seagrave, among others have lead times exceeding 3 years. If my estimates are right, I think some manufacturers are 5+ years out for some rigs.
It seems that the supply chain has stabilized but there is still a major issue with lack of manpower to whom can build the trucks. The labor force is exhausted and there just isn’t enough people to build trucks based on the demand. Heck, Pierce has how many thousands of trucks in their backlog??? I think it’s somewhere in the range of 8,000+ behind. Pierce builds about 2,000 trucks per year. Do the math, it’s a 4 year wait time.

I don’t know for sure but Truck 1 is the only truck they run without a pump and water so unless they’re shaking things up this is going there.
