From the Ward Apparatus Facebook page:
This rescue will be supporting the brave men and women of the Chicago Fire Department! This 12′ truck with an all-aluminum body was built on a Ford F550 chassis. Fortunately, it was already built and ready to go. All it needs is some Chicago FD decals!

This is probably going to OFI, the use of the word ” squad ” in the title is misleading.

I know a new mask service unit was being built for them.
Unless this is their temporary solution to the second unit for the squad companies?
I know they were looking for a solution for the A units for the squads. Maybe they found it?
Does anyone know how the two box squads are coming along at E-One? I know they should be completed either this month or next month.
The guys on the squads deserve new rigs. However mi matched they may be. Personally, I think the city should ditch the snorkel idea all together and just focus on the boxes for the squads.

Where is this allegedly going? Join the parked assemblage of rigs gathering dust at Special Ops on 39th Street?
