***Attention Residents of Bensenville***
See our official letter below opposing the actions of our current board of fire trustees and the Village President Frank DeSimone, who endorses them. Not a single Bensenville resident should have to wait longer for an ambulance to reach them when they call 911, but that is exactly what happened a few days ago at an in town structure fire with a burn victim.
This can and will continue to happen as long as our staffing model remains with a minimum daily staffing of 7 personnel. Ask the fire board and Frank why they don’t support increasing our minimum staffing back to 9, when the residents are the ones who suffer the most.
VOTE FOR OUR CANDIDATES
thanks Dan

Didn’t they pass a referendum a few years ago which allowed them to put Laddeer 107 back in service? Hopefully the voters will give them the board they need.

B’Ville has always run short since the 80’s Station 1 was 3 FF and 2 Contract medics St 2 was always 2 FF or one LT and FF Rarely was it 3 … Then they added FF/PM contract medics at both stations to at least boost the manpower. They got rid of the contract and hired part time PM to back fill the spots on the ambulance with a few full time that had their Paramedic Mismanagement of the department over 30 + years of Fire Department .. then Public Safety Department idea.. then Becoming a District that the Mayor appoints the trustees has gotten them here

Wayne, yes 7 is broken down as follows: 2 on the squad, 2 on the ambo and 1 BC. Then 2 on the ladder. Going to 9 gets them 2 and 2, which still isn’t enough. It should be 11 each day. So they have a 3rd on the fire rigs and can actually do something.

Does 7 count the battalion chief?
Does anyone here know how they spread out the 7 personnel?
