Good Morning John and Blessed 2025. Mike Summa posted those not me but yes, I do remember those HENDRICKSON/PIRSCH rigs from that time frame too. I’m sure you’ll always cherish that time with your dad visiting that station.
They were pretty solid apparatus. Waukesha had a few too since I work in Waukesha and remember seeing them many times until about the early ’00’s.
That book is great and I have one somewhere at the house.
have a great weekend John.

Crabbymilton, Happy 2025. I love the pictures you posted. Do you remember when Milwaukee had a bunch of Engines that were built by Pirsch on Hendrickson chassis. The first 2 were delivered in 1974. They were assigned to Engines 2 and Engine 20 at Engine 2 also known as The House of Glass in Downtown. In 1979 Pirsch delivered 4 more. They were assigned to Engines 4,14,18 and 23. I spent a lot of time at 14’s when my dad was a Lieutenant there. I have some fond memories at that firehouse. During my career I only worked at Engine 14 once on Truck 8 as a relief Firefighter. Jim Ley published a book entitled; Milwaukee Fire Department Motorized Apparatus History 1907 ~ 2002. Great read. Take care.

Over 50 years already. I’m glad I bought their 50th anniversary medallion last year.
