It is with heavy hearts that the Elk Grove Village Fire Department announces the passing of Lieutenant Mark Pytlewicz. Lt. Pytlewicz was a dedicated member of our department for 22 years and held many duties including company officer, technical rescue team, honor guard, and so much more.
To honor Lt. Pytlewicz, all fire stations will display bunting, and flags will be flown at half-staff.We ask that you keep his family, friends, and colleagues in your thoughts during this difficult time.

Mark is a Prospect Heights FD alumni who started his fire service career with us in 2000. He served faithfully until 2005. He was well regarded and had many friends at the PHFD. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends, and colleagues during this difficult time. He will be sorely missed.
