I agree with you Harry. I believe Chicago should look into these guys to get some replacements in.

I would say price and the fact I can get in in months months not years
Fp went to a dept I believe by interstate 55 near western that has a fouts bros engine and they liked what they saw

Harry,
Why do you think franklin park went away from marion for the new engines

Steve.
Yes for now this is eng.1
Then the 2 Marion’s will be eng. 2 and a reserve
Then when fp gets the new one in 2025 that will go to eng. 1 again then this one will be eng. 2 and 1 of the Marion’s will be a spare and the other go

I agree with you Harry. I prefer the old Marion’s.
Will they keep one or both on as reserves?

Why wait 3-4 years for a Pierce when high quality small manufacturers can turn out rigs of better quality in less than half the time. Guys like Alexis, Toyne, Custom, Marion, Spencer, etc. give a personal touch at reasonable prices and in a timely manner. Hope it runs well and lasts along time.

I personally like the old ones better that fp has but this is likely going to be easier to get down tight streets and alleys
But at a cost of about 600 000 and a wait time of about 4 months it is a great choice so this is engine 1
If they like this one they will order another like this likely by end of year if not fp will have a new eone engine next year
