This was an era when I felt apparatus quality and longevity was really top notch. There was no multiplex, no independent suspension, and no emissions. Granted, we have also seen some things improvements with todays fire apparatus such as better corrosion protection, LED lighting, safer cabs.

Nice to see that rig still in service somewhere. That was a great apparatus.
