No worries. Its sister engine which was inside is the brand new 2023 Pierce Enforcer.
Park Ridge does have a heavy rescue Squad 35 in the far South Bay of this fire station. It is used for special rescue, dive and hazmat emergencies. It is not staffed and it is not a traditional jump company, If another community were to request it on an extra alarm, on duty crews may respond with it. Stay safe.

Doesn’t Park Ridge have that E/One Heavy Rescue rig at Station 35 that was marked as Squad 35 and was in effect a “jump company”? Or is Engine 35 now a Pumper/Squad and the Heavy Rescue “jump company” now out of service?

What about it makes it a squad? Is it an enhanced eng. co, like FDNY with extra equipment and training?

Yes – I am a member of the organization. New Engine 35 was placed in service earlier this year.

Bill are you sure they just got a new rig and this one is lettered as such

That is actually a 2017 back up engine – designated as Engine 37 unless put in service as a front line piece of apparatus.

Crabby- It’s plugged into the shoreline port that’s next to the grab handle, next to the door.

I forgot about that. I think when a rig is in the station, they plug it in differently than thru the drivers door.

It’s plugged in because all the electronics suck down batteries. Radios, tic, MDC, cardiac monitor, suction unit, monitors and whatever else they have wired into the system

That really looks sharp.
I wonder why it’s plugged in?
